Q. What is happening?
A. The Nielsen Company is excited to announce that we have entered into an agreement with Survey Sampling International, LLC (SSI). SSI is a well respected, global provider of research services since 1977, with research experience in over 50 countries. As part of our new relationship, SSI will now manage and maintain the Your Voice panel. Nielsen will transfer your membership information and survey details to SSI.
The membership information transfer to SSI will occur on the 23rd of August 2010, from which date SSI will manage your member details. For further information on your privacy rights, click here.
Q. Why is it happening?
A. Nielsen is transferring to SSI the administration and maintenance of the Your Voice panel in order to increase efficiency while preserving the quality of your experience as a panelist.
Q. Can you tell me more about SSI?
A. SSI is a well respected, highly-experienced global provider of research services since 1977. SSI manages more than 6 million consumer and business-to-business research panelists in 54 countries via Internet, telephone, and mobile.

Q. Are there any benefits?
A. You will receive more surveys! Part of Nielsen’s arrangement with SSI means that Your Voice panelists will receive surveys on a more frequent basis -- which means more e-points and more rewards.
Q. What are the main changes for my membership?
A. Your membership with the Your Voice panel is unchanged. You still have a member account and can access the website as normal. Your e-points balance remains the same in your account. The Your Voice panel is simply no longer part of The Nielsen Company, but rather Survey Sampling International.
Q. What happens to my E-points during this transfer?
A. Your e-points will not expire. Your total e-points balance will be available to you, along with our most popular rewards.
However, if you choose to leave the Your Voice Panel, your e-points will be deleted along with your account. It is recommended that you redeem all remaining e-points before resigning from the panel and closing your account. (Go to the 'My Account' page on the 'Members' area to see all your e-points transactions.)
Q. Is Nielsen turning over control of all of its panels or just of Your Voice?
A. Just Your Voice. This transfer does not include the Consumer research panels (Homescan) or any other panels within the Nielsen Company. If you have any specific queries please do not hesitate to Contact Us .
Q. Who can I talk to regarding Survey Sampling International’s Privacy policy?
A. Q. Will my personally identifiable information be treated in the same manner as it was by “The Nielsen Company”?
A. Yes. SSI complies with all applicable laws, codes, regulations and/or requirements and SSI conforms its practices to the ICC/ESOMAR Code of Marketing & Social Research Practice, to the extent applicable. Your privacy and the confidentiality of your information are SSI’s number one priority. Except as set forth in the SSI’s privacy policy, all data that SSI collects during research are reported as aggregate information, that is, information about groups - not individuals; personal information is not publicly reviewed or published, as it is irrelevant to the research conducted; and all personal information provided to, or collected by SSI is held strictly confidential.
All personal information transferred to SSI will be subject to, and governed by, SSI’s privacy policy and terms and conditions.
Q. Can I still remain on the Your Voice panel if I don’t want Nielsen to transfer my information?
A. No, as part of the transfer your membership details will be transferred on the 1st of June 2010, from which date SSI will manage your member details. If you do not wish Nielsen to transfer your member information please resign via the 'Members' area of the website, go to the 'My Details' section and click on the link 'To resign as a Your Voice Panelist, please click here'.
Note that when you resign, all your existing e-points will be forfeited.
Q. What should I do if I don’t want Nielsen to transfer my personal information?
A. If you do not wish Nielsen to transfer your member information please resign via the 'Members' area of the website, go to the 'My Details' section and click on the link 'To resign as a Your Voice Panelist, please click here'. Note that when you resign, all your existing e-points will be forfeited.
Q. How do I resign as a Your Voice panelist?
A. To cancel your membership, log into the 'Members' area of the website, go to the 'My Details' section and click on the link 'To resign as a Your Voice Panelist, please click here'. Note that when you resign, all your existing e-points will be forfeited.
Please note that you may want to redeem any remaining e-points on your account before resignation. E-points are not transferable between accounts.
Q. What happens to my personal information if I decide to resign?
A. Your privacy and the confidentiality of your information are of paramount importance to us. If you wish to resign, all personal information will be removed from Nielsen’s system and will not be transferred to SSI.
In addition all previously collected survey data are reported as aggregate information, that is, information about groups - not individuals. This information cannot be linked back to you and is only used for research purposes.

Q. How long will it take to receive the voucher?
A. There will be delays in receiving reward items. We anticipate you will receive items within 4 weeks of the time you have ordered. Please do not hesitate to Contact Us on contacting us for tracing your order request.
Q. Will I still be able to complete my surveys by logging into the Your Voice website?
A. Once your personal information has been transferred to SSI you will start to be invited via a direct survey invitation. Within the survey invitation you will have a 'Start survey' button. This is the only way you can access the survey; it is not accessible through the Your Voice website.
Please note: If you still have any old Nielsen Your Voice invitations that have not reached their end date, you will still be able to complete the survey via the Your Voice website.
Q. I have completed a survey through the new style SSI Your Voice survey invitations and I cannot see the points I should have earned when I log into the Your Voice website. Why is this?
A. This is due to the panel being in a migration phase. The SSI Your Voice will be up and running on Tuesday 2nd September around midday. After this time you will be able to log into the website and see the points you have earned for the survey. In addition to this you will also be able to see your transferred points balance from your Nielsen Your Voice surveys.

Q. How do I cancel my Your Voice Online Panel membership?
A. To cancel your membership, log into the members area of the website, go to the 'My Details' page and click on the link 'Resign as a panelist'. Note that when you resign all your existing e-points are terminated.
Q. I am clicking on the link to take me to the survey and it did not work. How can I access the survey?
A. To check all the surveys you have been invited to, log-on to the members area of the Your Voice site and go to the 'My Surveys' page. However it is possible that the survey opened in the background – please check all the browser windows you have open to see if the survey loaded in one of them. Another possibility is that you are having a temporary problem with your internet connection, or our server is temporarily down. If the link does seem to be broken, please do advise us using Contact Us and please be sure to include the link (or preferably the whole invitation email) so that we can more easily help you with your problem.
